Testimonials from Altera for BPT’s Process Simulator Applications

Altera Infrastructure has been user of the BPT simulator applications since 2014 and recently renewed the cooperation with BPT. We are very pleased with the long-term business relationship between Altera and BPT.

“Altera is very pleased with the BPT-SimApps as a fully integrated part of our process simulation platform used in process design and operational decision support for our fleet of production facilities globally,” states Karl Glørstad, Manager of Production Engineering in Altera, adding “these dedicated software applications increase the efficiency of our process simulation activities, as well as increasing accuracy/reducing uncertainty. We can reuse excel template reports to quickly check a large amount of process model cases from main contractors during EPCI projects. Another example, we get much better understanding of relief valve capacity evaluations, i.e. how many capacity coefficients are involved. The BPT compressor design application has demonstrated to be a very effective tool in establishing realistic centrifugal compressor evaluations inside the process model.”
