International Engineering House Entering Long-Term Simulator Software Agreement

We are happy to announce that a global engineering and construction company in the energy sector has entered into an agreement for advanced used of the portfolio of process simulator extensions from BPT.

"I am delighted about the user community of our unique simulator extensions steadily growing, a testimonial of the value-added in advanced and efficient use of process simulators for steady state and dynamic simulations in de-risking process facility design and operations", reports the BPT CEO. "The usage and number of customers increase both within the oil & gas as well as the sustainable industry segments".

The new esteemed member of the user group signed on to a 3-year agreement also including on-demand BPT specialist support services.

Since 2012, BPT has developed bolt-on applications (BPT-SimApps portfolio) to well-known process simulators like HYSYS and UniSim that meet the requirements for accuracy for the energy processes in the contexts of feasibility studies, design and optimization. These applications are crucial to be able to analyze start-up and shutdown scenarios for energy systems including hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, electrofuel, CCUS and concentrated solar power as they incorporate fully dynamic unit operations such as electrolysis and reactors.

Technically and financially, BPT de-risk low carbon and new energy system facilities at an early stage by applying the best-in-class dynamic simulators including the enhancing and necessary bolt-on applications with emphasis on efficient, accurate and robust solutions.

BPT has unmatched domain knowledge within production and process facilities. We are world-class users of process and multiphase flow simulators, and among the specialties are compressor design, tie-ins and process safety as well as electrolysis and reactor dynamics.

Billington Process Technology (BPT) is an independent digital solution, simulation and service company with Headquarter outside Oslo, Norway. BPT has unique domain knowledge within production and process facilities. We are world-class users of process simulators, and among the specialties are compressor design as well as process safety. The BPT Digital Production Twin includes an unmatched solution for holistic sensor-correction providing invaluable data fundament for a number of advanced digital applications (ala machine learning) as well as calibrated steady-state and dynamic simulators for efficient production optimization. BPT is a frontrunner in modernizing field development approach together with innovating oil companies. A BPT specialty is to apply integrated multiphase flow and dynamic process simulators throughout the field development, commissioning, and life of field to validate and improve design as well as troubleshoot and perform production optimization.
