BPT awarded Framework Agreement by Equinor

Equinor ASA has entered into a Framework Agreement with Billington Process Technology AS (BPT) for delivery of early phase studies and engineering support. The Framework Agreement is for 5 years, with the option for Equinor to extend by up to 2 periods of 2 years.

“A testimonial of the value we have created for Equinor over the past decades and the trust established”, states Knut Erik Spilling, Vice President at BPT. “We are pleased to support Equinor’s key mission providing low carbon and sustainable energy solutions to the global marketplace.”

The background is that Equinor is continuously evaluating new upstream oil & gas fields in addition to revamp/modification of existing installations and onshore plants. In addition, Equinor will increase its activities within energy transition projects, i.e., offshore wind, new low carbon value chains (blue hydrogen and ammonia) and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).

The Equinor framework agreement facilitates access to BPT resources for early phase services, in particular within the disciplines process, flow assurance and technical safety combining BPT domain experts, workflows and simulation solutions.

BPT could provide professional services with Equinor’s greenfields and tie-in projects, onshore and offshore brownfields support, low carbon value chains (including hydrogen and ammonia plants) and CCUS systems (carbon capture, utilization and storage).
